How to divide a circle into equal parts

You can go the simplest way, that is, make a copy of the desired shape, cut it out and then bend it to divide it into the required number of segments. However, when dividing the circle in this way, 3, 5, 7, 9, or 11 parts are not obtained. In these cases, you will have to use a protractor. If it is not possible to determine the middle of the circle, then again you first need to circle the figure, cut it out and fold it in two, and then four times. The perpendicular lines at the intersection will give a point that shows the middle. All marks must be drawn from it.

The whole circle is 360 °, therefore, you can calculate the degrees of any number of parts. For example, you need to make 5 segments. To do this, divide 360 ​​° into 5 parts - it turns 72 °. That is, each segment will be 72 °. Place a protractor that covers 180 ° in the middle and measure 72 °. Draw a line from the center midpoint to the measured degree, then do the same 3 more times. The result is 5 equal parts of the circle.

If it is necessary to divide the circle, for example, into 12 parts, then for this by folding the working circle, divide it into 4 parts. Put the protractor on the center point. If you divide 360 ​​° by 12, you get 30 °. That is, there will be 12 parts of 30 ° in total. Thus, thanks to the protractor, you can divide the circle into literally any number of equal parts.
