Never force your child to read forcefully. A lot of people grew up hating books for the very reason that their parents tried to instill in them a love of the book in their childhood .

Do not try to teach children books of specific genres or authors. Let them choose what to read. In any case, this is better than not reading anything. The main thing is that they do not have in their hands books of vulgar, vulgar content, works promoting violence, etc.

Explain to the child that any film adaptation of a work discourages the viewer from imagination. He begins to imagine what is happening only as the director took it. When reading, without previewing the film or performance, you can independently imagine elements not described in the book (the faces of the characters, the setting, the appearance of the fantastic technique) as you like. Invite him to draw up illustrations for the book on his own, depicting everything as he imagines it, or perhaps playing with friends a small scene from a work in front of a video camera, making costumes and decorations on his own.

Many parents believe that it is useful for children to read only fiction, and scientific and technical is harmful to them. This is completely wrong. Do not select a lamp that is too bright. To read from the screen, use only the LCD monitor, set the large font and the minimum brightness of the backlight.
