All kinds of master classes are an opportunity not only to receive information in an accessible form, but also to share it if you feel that the accumulated knowledge and skills are already enough. To make this process mutually beneficial for all participants, think over the structure and content of your workshop in advance.

Select a theme for the workshop. Try to formulate it so as not to teach people how to invent a bicycle. Even if your master class is designed for beginners in some field and will contain the basics on the selected topic, try to find a non-standard move or alternative points of view.

Do not grasp the area of knowledge in which you do not feel confident. Before you tell people about something, independently understand the question. Only after you have mastered (though not perfectly, but at least confidently) any skill, it is worth contacting the audience.

After choosing a topic, collect as much information about it as possible. Even if you have been making clay toys for many years and are sure that you can teach this without books, take an interest in the theoretical side of the issue. It is likely that you will learn something new and will not get into trouble, not knowing what to answer to your student's unexpected question.

Summarize your own practice in the chosen field. Think about what is the main thing in this matter, what you yourself would like to know when you just started doing it, what information would help at the very beginning of the journey.

Find out what knowledge your potential audience needs. Enter a query about your topic in the search engine and read what questions most often people ask on forums and sites. Given the needs of people, you will get a large audience.

Based on the information gathered, structure your activity. Describe it in points and indicate the approximate time it takes to complete each step. Leave some time for unforeseen circumstances and deviations from the topic.

Prepare visual material. This can be ready-made samples of works and illustrations, as well as books and manuals that may be necessary for beginners. Think about whether it is worth taking supplies for the forgetful participants of the workshop with you or should you warn the students to bring the materials with them.

Write the sample text you will be pronouncing. Of course, you don’t need to memorize it, but you can say it several times in front of a mirror or in front of friends - this will allow you to feel more confident and hear possible errors in the structure and content of the speech. Write down the main points not a leaflet and take with you.
