How to write a speech for the thesis

The defense of the thesis is not as complicated as it seems. The main thing is to know well that you will be telling the commission. To successfully defend a graduation project, you need to prepare a good speech.

Start your speech by greeting. It will help your teachers switch from the previous defender to you, and set you up for attentive listening.

Write a topic for your graduate study. Despite the fact that you must remember it well, it is better to play it safe, because the excitement can confuse you with thoughts.

Expand the relevance of the topic of work, determine its object and subject, formulate the purpose and objectives of the study. All this information is taken from the introduction to the diploma.

Tell us which scientists worked on the research problem and what conclusions they made. Describe your attitude to the research topic.

Briefly describe the object of study, list the methods by which you analyzed the problem, and tell you what conclusions you personally came to.

Formulate recommendations for solving the identified problem, tell us how to check the effectiveness of their implementation, what will be the results.

Explain how the findings can be used in the future. Tell us what additional research the topic of your thesis requires.

All the information that you will present to the audience should be taken solely from the text of your work. For each question that you raise, put down the page numbers of the thesis, so that if desired, teachers can familiarize themselves with the text in more detail.

Reread the text of the report you wrote. Imagine that you are not familiar with the text of the work. Think about whether the information that you will tell is enough to understand the meaning of the work done. Try to suggest what questions teachers might have. Write down the answers after the text of the report.
