Learning a poem is not an easy task. It’s easy to say, but sometimes it’s not so simple. You need to be guided by a special technique for perfect memorization of the whole poem: from simple memorization to memorization of each line separately.

Instruction manual

one

You need to learn a poem in a calm state, concentrated. Best in complete silence. Since there is even a slight tension, distraction from the verse itself makes it difficult to learn.

2

It is necessary to read the poem several times before going to bed. This method is very often used by people with very good memory. Unfortunately, for others, it may not be as effective.

3

An interesting technique is memorization by quatrain. Take, for example, the famous verse of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin "Prisoner". And start learning the first quatrain:

"I'm sitting behind bars in a dungeon damp.

A young eagle fed in captivity

My sad comrade, flapping a wing, Bloody food pecks under the window"

4

Learn the first line, repeat 3-4 times, and without looking at the text. Then speed up your reading and focus on the first word. Also learn the second line (separately from the first). Then connect both lines and repeat them, speeding up the pace.

5

Then attach the remaining lines and already freely repeat the whole quatrain.

6

The effectiveness of the method is that, among other things, it develops memory and speed. And if for the first time I had to memorize for quite some time, then after getting used to the method the method will seem simple and the verse will memorize faster at times. Most often in quatrains at once.
