How to turn in a story

Admission to college is not far off - it's time to think about exams. There is a big competition for your specialty, and it is advisable to pass all the subjects to the highest scores. Among these items is also history, but you are somehow not friends. How to quickly learn all the huge amount of information needed to pass the exam in history?

Go to the bookstore and just try reading history books. It is enough to read one page to understand how intelligibly the author sets out the material. Also arm yourself with a pair of special tests aids.

Despite the enormous amount of material, the story is the same exam as the others, and the exam itself is just a small obstacle that must be overcome in order to achieve the goal. Do not panic. History, like the Unified State Examination in general, is not as scary as it seems, no matter what the teachers say.

History is not just a collection of facts that need to be memorized. She is very logical. Of course, the names, dates, names of princes and emperors will simply have to be learned, but otherwise everything can be divided into blocks, which will be much easier to learn. For example: politics, economics, social services, culture, wars.

In each paragraph of each paragraph of the textbook there are a couple of important facts and there are details, often unnecessary and confusing, or set out in such a way that it is simply impossible to remember them. Forget about them for a while. Imagine that the New Year is coming and that you collect and decorate an artificial Christmas tree. First you need to assemble the tree itself, i.e. attach the "paws" to the "trunk", then wrap it with a garland of light bulbs, and only then hang toys. So: do not try to hang toys if the tree has not yet been assembled! The period of the reign of Alexander II, for example, is first of all the abolition of serfdom, judicial, zemstvo and military reforms, and then the number of attempts on him and the construction of the Church of the Savior on Blood in the place where he was mortally wounded.

It is important to learn how to highlight the main thing in the text of a paragraph. If you suddenly forget some details, you, quite possibly, successfully conceive them yourself. This is especially true for issues like "what are the seven reasons for Russia's defeat in the Russo-Japanese war." Let's say you remember the five main ones. It will be enough to concentrate and recall the situation in the country at that time as a whole in order to identify the two missing reasons.

Sometimes there is simply very difficult to remember material - for example, military operations during the Civil War. In such cases, compiling tables and diagrams helps. Moreover, these tables and diagrams must be yours, and not bought in a store or taken from a friend, because while you analyze and write down (sketch) the information, it is perfectly remembered.

Speaking of sketching. Such a non-trivial method, like drawing on the subject, can be effective and not boring, especially for creative natures. In general, invent your own methods.

And most importantly. Do not succumb to general panic and stress, do not take teachers wringing their hands seriously. Excessive emotionality has not helped anyone to learn, most likely, you will simply forget the important material because of excitement at the most “appropriate” moment. Be confident in yourself and remember that passing an exam in history or any other subject is just an insignificant stage in life.

Talk to those who passed the exam in history last year. What were the questions that seemed difficult to them?

Make contact with your history teacher. He works to help you. Surely he knows and can advise good study guides.

If the story does not surrender to your mercy, talk to your parents about a tutor. It is better to spend money on a tutor than to go to college next year or choose a less prestigious university.
