After receiving secondary or secondary specialized education, the question often arises of entering a higher educational institution (university). In order to enter the university, it is necessary to submit an application for admission on time. Different educational institutions may have differences in the rules for submitting documents, but there are a number of common mandatory features regulated by the legislation of the Russian Federation.

You will need to submit documents for admission at a certain time, which is established by the selection committee. You should not postpone the filing of documents at the very last moment, as there is a danger that some documents will not meet the requirements of the university, and you will not have time to correct the shortcomings. The drawback of submitting documents at the very beginning is that at that moment it is still not known how many people submitted documents and what the preliminary competition for these or those specialties is.

When filling out the application, be careful. Follow all the requirements that are set by the compilers of the form. After all, it’s a shame to spend extra time on rewriting a statement due to a stupid mistake. In the application you will need to indicate the following required information: last name, first name and patronymic, date and place of birth, details of an identity document, place of residence, information about previous education, specialties for which you are applying, exam results, diplomas from the school olympiads, the presence of special entry rights and the need to provide a hostel.

You will also need to provide the admissions committee with a secondary education document. Make sure that the document contains all the necessary stamps and ratings, and the insert number matches the number of the main document. Check the spelling of the last name. If you changed your surname from the moment you issued the document, then carry a document confirming this. If you are submitting documents to several educational institutions at the same time, then you will need to make photocopies of the certificate. A photocopy can be certified by a notary public or by the selection committee itself, if this is possible. In some universities you can’t submit a photocopy of the certificate, only the original is required. If you enter the master's program, you will need to provide a bachelor's or specialist’s diploma.

You also need to have a passport and photos with you. Photo parameters are set by the selection committee.

Upon admission to most universities, a medical certificate is required for fort 086 / y. You can get such a certificate in the clinic at the place of residence, having passed the necessary doctors. Accordingly, you can provide a photocopy of the certificate, but this also does not suit all admissions offices, in some situations, for example, they require you to undergo a medical examination at the university itself after admission.

If you have any privileges for entering a university, for example, medical indications or a diploma of the winner of a specialized Olympiad, be sure to bring along documents with evidence of this. If your achievements are not considered preferential for admission, take all the necessary documents with you anyway. Their presence can positively affect the appeal commission in the case of a semi-passing score.
