How to print blindly

There are many programs that allow you to master the method of blind printing. All of them are based on the same principles. The only difference is in the exercises and methods of motivating the user to develop touch typing.

Find a comfortable hand position. Hands should hang over the keyboard. Four fingers of the left hand above the letters: f, s, b, a. Four fingers of the right hand above the letters: o, l, d, g. The thumbs of both hands are above the gap. In order to blindly correctly position the hands on the keyboard, special protruding drawings are applied to the letters a and o.

Use all your fingers when printing, usually difficulties occur when using the little fingers, but you just need to get used to the movements. Print out a keyboard layout diagram for yourself, it is better if the keys on it are marked in different colors, depending on which finger you should press a key. Hang this diagram near the monitor and look at it in case of difficulties.

Do the exercises that the training program offers you. Usually, exercises on the main middle row of keys go first, gradually letters more and more distant from the center are involved. These exercises can be repeated to develop problematic finger muscles and increase typing speed.

Since you started the process of learning touch typing, don’t look at the keyboard not only when doing exercises, but also in everyday activities: communicating on the Internet, writing letters, typing other texts. At first, the typing process will become difficult and slow, but gradually you will learn the location of the letters on the keyboard, then train your fingers, and then you will increase the typing speed.
Useful advice
A radical, but not leaving a choice and no reason for regress, way of learning is to acquire a keyboard without the Russian alphabet printed on the keys. Owners of MAC computers with a keyboard without Russian letters note that they managed to learn quickly to type text blindly in a couple of weeks.
