Submission for certification of a primary school teacher must be issued by the employer. It is filled in the prescribed form. The employer comprehensively assesses the professional qualities of the teacher and the success of his work in his current position. In addition, the document should contain information on the teacher passing various advanced training courses, as well as information on the result of previous certifications.

Not later than one calendar month before the commencement of the certification work, the employer, upon receipt, introduces the teacher to the presentation.

Then the employer submits a set of documents to the certification committee, where he receives information about the place, date and time of the certification tests.

The statutory certification period should not exceed two months. No later than a month before the certification, the employer must inform the teacher of the elementary school about the place, date and time of certification.

During the certification, to confirm the conformity of the position, primary school teachers undergo written tests, consisting in answers to questions related to their professional activities. Computer testing is also possible, which allows you to determine the degree of proficiency in modern teaching methods. If the primary school teacher claims the first qualification category, he submits the application in the established form on his own. In addition, he must attach to the application a photocopy of the certification sheet of the previous certification (if there was one), a new certification sheet filled up to the seventh paragraph and a portfolio of his professional achievements.

This package of documents is provided to the certification commission of a territorial subject of the Russian Federation. Within a month, the commission members consider the teacher’s application and designate the place, date and time of the certification. An elementary school teacher may not be present at the procedure itself, but if there is a desire to participate in the discussion of his candidacy, this must be reflected in the application for upgrading the category.
