How to fight corruption in universities

Everyone knows about corruption in universities, but it is quite difficult to eradicate it. Despite all the measures taken by law, it is not only not decreasing, but also becoming more widespread. Only the students themselves can make a difference - without their help, the fight against corruption is useless.

At the stage of passing entrance exams, corruption in recent years has significantly decreased due to the introduction of the Unified State Exam (USE). Here, practically nothing depends on teachers, so the amount of bribes upon admission has decreased, according to statistics, by 8-10 times.

It became all the more important for students to pass their first session - this is where the real test of teachers' knowledge and honesty begins. It is no secret that almost any written work can be bought today, and often from the teacher himself. In the same way, you can pass an exam or a test - the amount of a bribe depends on the importance and complexity of the subject, as well as on the desired grade.

The reason for corruption is not only teachers who are dishonest, but also students who are not burdened with intelligence and who do not want to study honestly. If you do not want to pay and do not agree with a situation where everything is decided by money - start fighting with this system.

First of all, take an active position: attend all lectures, actively answer and ask questions to the teacher. Try to get as much knowledge on the subject as possible, read the recommended literature. If you study well, even the most arrogant teachers will not dare to demand money from you.

If at the exam you are nevertheless asked tricky questions - do not solve the question with a bribe. Again and again come to retake only with a store of knowledge. Sooner or later, the teacher will get tired of spending his time on you, and he will give you a well-deserved mark. You will only have to earn a reputation for 1-2 years, after 3-4 courses in terms of bribes you will not be touched (even if you are not an excellent student).

If the situation worsens, if the teacher extorts money directly, act decisively. Call the anti-corruption service and report the offense, do not call yourself. In such a situation, you should not contact the rector or dean - they are likely to cover the criminal. Even if you succeed in reaching the truth, you will have to forget about further education; they do not like fighters for justice and truth at universities.
