How to make the right pyramid

A regular pyramid is a type of pyramid with a regular quadrangle in its base - a square. The lateral sides of the pyramid are isosceles triangles. Based on these data, the correct pyramid is quite easy to build.

You will need

Pencil, sheet of lined paper in a checkered box, ruler, scissors, adhesive tape / electrical tape for fastening faces.

First, a sheet of paper is taken, and then a square is drawn on it in approximately the same way as shown in Figure 2.

Then you need to draw 4 isosceles triangles so that the sides of the square become the bases of these triangles. We must not forget that an equilateral triangle is a type of isosceles. This is important only if you need to make a high / low pyramid. The base of the triangles will remain unchanged. A variant of the drawing is shown in Figure 3.

Now scissors are taken and a similarity of a four-pointed star is cut out. Then the “rays” of this “stars” are bent to one side, where the top of the pyramid will be. If everything is done correctly, then the edges of the pyramid will come out of the triangles, the tips of the "rays" will connect in one place and form the top of the pyramid. Then the faces are fastened together and what is shown in the very first figure is obtained.
