How to develop quick speech

The ability to speak quickly, confidently, clearly and essentially is necessary for many people: managers, to quickly and clearly articulate goals for the team, business people, to skillfully negotiate with partners, students of educational institutions for successful studies. Speaking skills are important for educators, broadcasters, and professionals in communication and public speaking. To develop fast speech, you need to practice more and perform supporting exercises.

Start your speech development training by performing articulation exercises. Speech training can help you achieve clarity. If you speak quickly, but swallow half the sounds, nobody will understand you. You most likely want to achieve not only high speed, but also speech quality. Therefore, you should not neglect articulation exercises.

Stand or sit in front of the mirror, straighten your shoulders and lower them, your back is straight. Pull your lips forward with a tube and stretch them in a wide, open smile. Perform the exercise 10 times at an average pace and 10 times at a fast pace.

Pull your lips forward slightly and rotate them in a circle to the right eight times, then to the left. Try to move with your lips, without cheeks.

As you inhale, inflate your cheeks like a balloon. As you exhale, blow them abruptly, exhaling through your mouth and pulling your lips forward. Repeat 8 times.

The lips are closed, the teeth are open. Touch the tip of your tongue to the hard palate near your front teeth and drag your tongue back across the sky toward the larynx. Do it 10 times. Then, clap your tongue for a minute, imitating the sound of the clatter of a horse's hooves.

After training the articulation apparatus, proceed to pronunciation of tongue twisters. Choose tongue twisters with such a combination of sounds that are given to you the hardest. Say them slowly first, clearly pronouncing each syllable. When you learn the tongue twister by heart and master the pronunciation, increase the speed of speaking. Memorize a few verses and read them quickly and with expression.

A rich storehouse of knowledge will allow you to speak freely and confidently. Every day, train in front of the mirror, giving a speech on a given topic.
