How to enter in time

MGIMO is one of the oldest universities in Russia. MGIMO graduates are always in demand in the labor market, and the main consumer of personnel trained at MGIMO is the Russian Foreign Ministry. At the university faculties, training is possible both on a budget and on a commercial basis.

• Document on secondary (complete) general education

• Six photographs measuring 3x4 cm.;

• Certified copies of documents confirming the right to benefits

• Certificate of the Unified State Exam (USE)

• Other documents: diplomas, diplomas of winners and prize-winners of olympiads, etc.

Acceptance of documents at MGIMO takes place in 2011 from June 20 to July 10. In the direction of "Journalism" the acceptance of documents ends July 5. Applications for conclusion of agreements on paid tuition are accepted from March 1 to July 10 (for applicants to the Journalism direction - until July 5).

Entering MGIMO, you can choose one of the areas of study: international relations, foreign regional studies, jurisprudence, journalism, economics, political science, advertising and public relations, management, sociology, trade, geography.

Depending on the chosen faculty, the applicant must pass such disciplines as history, social studies, Russian, mathematics, literature, geography. Upon admission to any of the faculties will need to take a foreign language.

Most exams at MGIMO are held in the exam format, in addition, as an additional exam, you must pass a foreign language in writing. In the direction of "Journalism" it is also necessary to pass a creative competition.

If you have chosen the International Journalism department of the International Journalism faculty, you must provide your own creative materials, which are considered by the examination committee for a creative competition.

The results of additional tests and exams at MGIMO are evaluated on a 100-point scale. If during the entrance exam you scored less than 60 points, you are not allowed to the next tests.

An applicant can enter MGIMO without entrance examinations if he is the winner or winner of the final stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren or a member of the national teams of the Russian Federation participating in international olympiads in general subjects.
