How to enter MGIMO on a budget

The University of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) is a well-known Russian forge for training international specialists. If you have such an opportunity, attend preparatory courses at MGIMO. Recruitment for courses is competitive, tuition is paid. According to MGIMO itself, annually from 70% to 95% of applicants who have completed various programs of specialized pre-university training successfully pass all entrance examinations and enter the first year, mainly in budget places.

MGIMO carries out admission based on the exam results, additional entrance tests, as well as entrance tests conducted by MGIMO independently. Attach the original or photocopy to the application:
• identification documents;
• documents proving citizenship;
• a document of state standard on education;
• certificates on the results of the exam;
• documents giving special rights for admission established by the legislation of the Russian Federation.
Attach also copies of your diplomas and certificates of participation in competitions, contests, olympiads in various disciplines.

You have the right to send an application for admission to the first year and these documents by mail (by registered letter with a notification and a list of attachments), only make sure that the documents reach the selection committee no later than the deadline for completing the application.
