How to enter the FSB Academy

The Federal Security Service was established on April 12, 1995 by President Yeltsin. Its main tasks include: the fight against crime, intelligence and information security. In order to serve in this unit, one must successfully graduate from the FSB Academy. Many students are preparing to enter the Academy already from the 10th grade, attending preparatory courses at the Academy. This is a great opportunity to get to know future teachers better - after all, they will be the ones who will take entrance exams.

The main requirements for admission are a completed secondary general or secondary vocational education, age from 16 to 24 years and good physical preparation. If you meet these requirements, you have every chance to enter the Academy. Contact the reception and write applications for admission. This must be done no later than 6 months before the entrance examinations. There you will receive detailed information about the faculties and the rules for admission to them.

After submitting the application, the applicant must undergo an interview with the dean of the future faculty and the representative of the personnel service of the FSB of Russia. After this, undergo a medical and psychophysiological examination at the FSB Russian medical service at the place of residence.

And the last stage of admission is written entrance exams. They are carried out according to the curriculum of the secondary school. Persons who have completed a secondary education institution with a gold, silver, bronze medal or a secondary education institution with a diploma of distinction must pass only one exam. Upon receipt of the maximum positive mark, they are exempted from other exams and enrolled in the Academy, and upon receipt of other marks they pass entrance exams, like all others. For all other applicants, admission to the academy takes place on a competitive basis in the number of points obtained during entrance examinations and the exam.

The age of citizens and military personnel entering the Academy for training flows is calculated at the time of their enrollment in studies. Only citizens (including military personnel) residing in Moscow and the Moscow Region who are sent to study by units of the FSB of Russia are accepted for training at the translation department. Military personnel of the federal security services, (hereinafter referred to as security bodies) are accepted for training flows of the faculty of distance learning

Useful advice

The age of people entering the Academy is calculated at the time of their enrollment in studies. Applications for admission to the Academy are submitted no less than 6 months before the entrance examinations: from civilian youth to the relevant territorial bodies of the Federal Security Service at the place of residence; from military personnel to the military counterintelligence departments at the duty station. Employees serving in the FSB of Russia submit a report on admission to the Academy on command.
