Unfortunately, not all children may be able to attend school. Some parents are going to choose home-based education for their children. The reason for this choice may be medical indications, for example, disability. There is a certain process of paperwork for transferring a disabled child to home schooling.
What documents must be collected to organize home studies
The law of the Russian Federation "On approval of the procedure for the education and training of disabled children at home" speaks of the need for a foundation for home schooling. Such a basis is the conclusion of the medical institution where the child is observed. That is, parents need to collect all medical certificates and expert opinions on the health status of the child. The clinical expert commission of the medical institution issues the so-called KEC certificate to the parents.
When all medical documents are received, parents can contact the educational institution at the place of residence. Parents or guardians of a disabled child need to write a statement addressed to the school principal and provide the school with all the information collected. A school near the home that parents are contacting does not have the right to refuse home schooling.
