A teacher needs a portfolio not only in order to improve his qualifications, but also in order to analyze the results of his pedagogical activity, to draw up a development plan. Currently, this type of certification among the teachers is quite popular. If you try to understand what a portfolio is, then you should turn to the dictionary and find out the translation of the word, since it is not originally Russian, but borrowed from the Italian language. A portfolio is a folder with documents. It collects all the results of the teacher, achievements. On it you can easily determine the competence of a person, his professionalism.

When the teacher begins to design the portfolio, he gets acquainted with the requirements. Pay attention to the sequence of points. The first contains general information about the teacher. It indicates the surname, name, patronymic, what education and when the teacher received, how many years he has been working in the specialty, when and what advanced training courses he attended. Also, all awards, letters of appreciation, and letters of appreciation received by the teacher over the past five years are recorded in this paragraph.
