How to identify giftedness
A gifted child is a baby who is sharply ahead of their peers in school or creativity. In some cases, the abilities of such children are quite obvious, for example, little Pushkin wrote very good poems at an early age, and Fischer achieved high results by playing in chess tournaments with adults. But there is just the opposite: the giftedness is hidden so deeply that it can only be recognized after many years. Classical examples: Karl Linney, Nikolay Lobachevsky. Remember the simple truth: each child is unique and inimitable. It makes no sense to drive it into the rigid framework of the template. For example, take it for granted that the child must have the same abilities as the father or mother. He may have completely different hobbies in which he may succeed if he is not disturbed!

Spend more time with your child, watch him. As soon as he grows up a bit, try to captivate him with as many creative activities as possible: drawing, modeling from clay or clay, application, design. Instead, remember that many gifted individuals in childhood were distinguished by their extraordinary, non-standard behavior. And instead of requiring the child to “be like everyone else”, it’s better to show him to a good psychologist.

There are also a variety of tests, techniques, with which you can with fairly high accuracy determine the coefficient of mental development of the child and answer the question: does he have the talent? Remember that a gifted child will need support from adults, as he will be very different from his peers.
