Many young people at the end of school think about choosing the profession of a military man or employee of internal affairs bodies. One of the similar areas of activity is border service. To become a qualified border guard and increase your career opportunities, you need to get a special education. How to enter the appropriate educational institution?

Check if you are eligible. You must be between 16 and 24 years old, you must have a complete secondary education at the time of admission and not have health problems that could interfere with your studies. One of the border institutes, Moscow, in addition to men, also accepts women on the same conditions.

Choose the institution that interests you. There are several universities in the country where you can get professions related to service at the border. There are border institutions in Moscow, St. Petersburg (Golitsyn Border Institute), Kurgan, Kaliningrad, Khabarovsk, Anapa and several other cities.

Decide on a specialty. Border institutes train specialists in several main areas: law enforcement, law, psychology, radio engineering, marine border control. It is necessary to choose a specialty a few months before admission, since depending on the faculty, examinations for the Unified State Exam differ, which must be taken as entrance examinations.

Sign up for the exam and pass it to the highest possible score for you. Select the exams that match your chosen specialty. For example, if you settled on the specialty "Radio Engineering", you will have to choose the exam in physics, and if "Law Enforcement" - then in history.

Contact the selected institution and apply for admission there. Documents are usually accepted in June-July. If you have such an opportunity, sign up for training - this is preparation for additional exams at the institute, held in July.

Go through the medical commission and pass the standards for physical training. This is necessary for admission as well as the results of the exam.

If provided, go through additional entrance tests. For example, applicants for specialties related to radio engineering additionally pass math in writing.
