A couple of decades ago, libraries and shops could not please schoolchildren and teachers with a wide variety of educational literature. Recently, however, textbooks and manuals for schoolchildren have been multiplying on the shelves, like mushrooms after rain. But not all of them are suitable for working with children.

As a rule, the teacher selects the textbooks for the class - he decides which textbooks are suitable for this class or this parallel. Naturally, his choice is not unlimited - there is a list of textbooks approved and recommended by the Ministry. They differ in their approach to training, a set of tasks and many other nuances. If you are a teacher who cannot choose textbooks for children, then start, firstly, from the pedagogical system adopted at your school, and secondly, from the general level and abilities of students.

Officially, three pedagogical systems are used in Russia - Zankova, Elkonina-Davydova (developing education) and traditional education. Each of these systems is divided into programs, which it is customary to adhere to. However, no one forbids you to choose another program, but this must be coordinated with both the school management and the parents of the students. What is the difference between these programs? When choosing, you should build on the abilities of students. It happens that different classes in parallel have different programs - somewhere students are stronger, somewhere - weaker.

Zankov’s developmental education system implies a student’s interest in obtaining knowledge, the ability to work at a high pace, the ability to self-development, self-education, the development of mind and will, and a deep inner world. This system is for strong, capable, even gifted students. In addition, the system involves an independent search for information. Textbooks used by the system: "Russian language" Nechaeva N.V., "Literary reading" Sviridov V.Yu., Churakova N.A., "Mathematics" in two parts Arginsky II, Ivanovskaya EI, Kormishina S.N., "We and the world" Dmitrieva N.Ya., Kazakova A.N. and others. A complete list can be found on the official website of the Zankov system.

The Elkonin-Davydov system also relates to developmental education; it is aimed at developing the ability of a child to think deeply and unconventionally, and at forming a system of scientific concepts. Also an option not for weak textbooks. There are several textbook programs in the system.

In Russian:

1) Repkina V.V., Vostorgovoi E.V., Nekrasova T.V.

2) Program Lomakovich S.V., Timchenko L.I.

Mathematics:

1) E.I. Alexandrova

2) S.F. Gorbova

According to literary reading - S.I. Matveeva.

In the world around - E.V. Chudinova.

The entire list can be found on the website of the Vita-Press Publishing House.

Traditional learning is better for textbooks - for those who need to get the necessary minimum knowledge without going deeper into personal development and innovative approaches. Inside the system of traditional education, there are many programs and many textbooks - this is the "School 2100", and the program "School of Russia", and the Vinogradova program. Each program has its own set of textbooks; you can find a list of them on program sites.

All these recommendations will be useful to you even if you are a parent and want to advise the teacher with certain textbooks for classes.

note

All textbooks used by children must be approved by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
