A report alone is not enough to present a scientific paper. We also need job reviews. If you had the role of a reviewer, then you are supposed to read the submitted abstract or the work itself and draw up a written or oral review, depending on whether you have to act in defense of the applicant. There are generally accepted norms for writing a review of a scientific work.

Write a title for review. Indicate the name of the work and the name of its author.

At the beginning of the review, mention what topic the work is devoted to, in which area the author conducted research.

Pay attention to the relevance of the research problem, the novelty of the work and its practical significance. Usually, the author of the study addresses this issue in the introduction to the work.

In the next section, provide a summary of the work. Note whether it contains all the necessary sections, what are the main points. Indicate the amount of visual material - diagrams, tables, diagrams, evaluate whether they are presented in sufficient volume to understand the study.

After that, describe what the general impression of the work made on you, whether the content meets the objectives, what is the quality of the presentation of the material.

An important section of the review is the shortcomings of the work. Since there are no ideal works, you will definitely find what you can mention in it. Comments can relate both to the study itself, and to the content of the work, the presence of errors in it. It is important, however, not to focus so much on this, but at the end to indicate that these comments do not reduce the level of work, and that the author should consider them as wishes for further work.

Now go to the conclusions regarding the work. Depending on its type, you either express a wish regarding the grade (for diplomas and term papers), or recommend assigning the degree to the applicant (for dissertations). Reiterate the quality of the work.

Do not forget to include information about yourself at the end of the review - name, academic degree, position, place of work. Also sign and date. For review, it will be necessary to affix the appropriate stamps and either hand it over to the applicant personally or send it by mail.
