How to learn notes for a synthesizer

A keyboard synthesizer is an electronic musical instrument, remotely resembling a piano in structure. The number of keys on it varies from 48 to 88. The method of recording notes, as a rule, is the same as for the piano: two note staves connected by an acolade and designating the left and right hand.

Notes for the synthesizer, with rare exceptions, are written according to the sound (unlike guitars or piccolos, transposing an octave down and up, respectively). As recorded in the reference book on the elementary theory of music, it is recorded in the treble clef to the first octave on the first additional bottom line (in the bass - on the first additional top).

A line in a record of a synthesizer part is a pair of rulers connected by an acolade. On the top of them, notes are written for the right hand (usually in the treble clef), on the bottom for the left (usually in the bass).

First, take the part of one hand, preferably the right one. Play so slowly to play all the notes. If possible, read out loud, this is better than playing under the metronome. Do not accelerate the pace for large durations (half and whole) and do not slow down for small ones.

Do not strive to play the entire work (even with one hand) from beginning to end, especially if it takes more than one page. Break it into logical parts and learn each separately, and then connect.

In the same way, disassemble your left hand: at a slow pace, in small passages. Connect all the pieces. Losing time after time, you will see that gradually you memorize notes. At first, this will be expressed in the ability to quickly find the right keys, then there will be less and less need to look at the notes.

Connect the parties of the left and right hands. Follow the same principles of a moderate (comfortable) pace and small pieces. Play the passage several times until you can repeat it without looking at the notes. Then move on to the next one.

Ideally, looking at the keyboard is also not worth it. For example, if the hands are located at different ends of the keyboard, and at some point both of them require attention and control, one will have to play blindly. To do this, repeat the game separately, without looking at the keyboard. Then connect the parties of both hands.
