How to write a conclusion about practice

The conclusion on practice is an important document by which the teachers of the university will evaluate the student's work. Reflecting professional skills and personal qualities, it shows how the future specialist is ready for the chosen field of activity at the moment and reflects his prospects for the future.

Start by providing the exact data you need to fill out a practice report. What is the student’s full name, surname and middle name? Indicate the exact name of the enterprise, commercial organization, school, where the student had practice. Set the exact time for student practice. Write under whose guidance the practice was conducted, whether the leader remained unchanged.

Describe the quality of student performance of their professional duties. The conclusion based on the results of the practice should include a detailed report of how the student’s preparation corresponded to the level of requirements for a young specialist, whether the trainee had the necessary professional knowledge and skills. Does the student know how to apply theoretical knowledge in practice. Indicate if the trainee seeks to improve his knowledge, correct mistakes, learn and process new experiences. Reflect the degree of independence of it in your work. Whether the work was completed in full, whether the student coped with all the tasks.

Describe the personal qualities of the trainee. How quickly he learns, is he able to adapt to new circumstances. Pay attention to such qualities as diligence, industriousness, punctuality, accuracy, activity, initiative, mobility, if they were shown. Mark all the positive qualities of the student. Give an example when he showed his best sides. What are the flaws that were noticeable in the activities of the trainee. How often they showed up, how much they influenced the success of the work.

Tell us about the student’s relationship with the team. How successful was the collaboration, did the trainee manage to build the right professional relationships with temporary colleagues.

Remember that the practice report is an official document and implies the use of a business writing style. Avoid overly subjective personal evaluations. The final grade for it depends on how correctly you reflect the course of student practice.

Avoid one-way appraisal of trainee performance. Even the most responsible students make mistakes, but there is always something to praise for a not-too-thoughtful employee.
