How to draw a ray

A ray is a straight line drawn from a point and without end. There are other definitions of a ray: for example, "… this is a line, limited by a point on one side." How to draw a beam and what drawing accessories do you need?

Take a piece of paper and mark a point in a random place. Then attach a ruler and draw a line, starting from the specified point and to infinity. This drawn line is called a ray. Now mark one more point on the ray, for example, with the letter C. The line from the initial to the point C will be called a segment. If you simply draw a line and do not mark at least one point, then this line will not be a ray.

To draw a ray in any graphic editor or in the same MSOffice is not more difficult than manually. For example, take the Microsoft Office 2010 program. Go to the "Insert" section and select the "Shapes" item. In the drop-down list, select the "Line" shape. Next, the cursor will look like a cross. To draw a straight line, press the Shift key and draw a line of the desired length. Immediately after drawing, the Format tab will open. Now you have just drawn a straight line and there is no fixed point, and based on the definition, the beam should be limited to a point on one side.

To make a point at the beginning of a line, do the following: select the drawn line and open the context menu by pressing the right mouse button.

Select Shape Format. In the menu on the left, select "Line Type". Next, find the “Line Settings” heading and select “Start Type” as a circle. There you can adjust the thickness of the start and end lines.

Remove the selection from the line and see that a dot appears at the beginning of the line. To create an inscription, click the "Draw an inscription" button and create a field where the inscription will be located. After writing the inscription, click on the free space and it is activated.

The beam was successfully drawn and it took only a few minutes. Beam drawing in other editors is carried out according to the same principle. When the "Shift" key is pressed, proportional figures will always be drawn. Enjoy your use.
