To issue official diplomas of education to a higher educational institution, not only a license for educational activities is required, but also accreditation. And at the beginning of preparing students for a new specialty, the university needs to receive a separate accreditation for it.

Find out if you can start the specialty accreditation process. It should be carried out when the first group of students in a new specialty has already passed the main course of study and is ready for state exams. For long-standing specialties, the procedure is carried out once every five years after the expiration of the previous document.

2

Prepare the necessary documents. It includes a statement written by the university management to Rosobrnadzor to issue or extend the relevant documentation. You will also need to add to the application the text of the charter of the educational institution, the materials of the curriculum for training in the specialty, a copy of the license for educational activities.

3

Conduct a survey of the level of training in the specialty yourself. The results obtained will also need to be attached to the general package of documents.

4

Send the documents to Rosobrnadzor in person or send them by mail to the address Moscow, Shabolovka street, house 33, 112 office. If you do not send all the necessary documents, then the organization’s experts will inform you of this by sending a notification.

5

Pay the state fee for the actions of Rosobrnadzor. You can find out the relevant details in the organization itself.

6

Wait for a decision. A special commission will be created to verify the specialty, the term of which may take up to four months. Based on the results of its activities, you will receive either a certificate of accreditation or a denial of it. If you do not agree with the decision of the commission, you can send a second request for accreditation. But before that, it is best to study state standards and understand what the current curriculum or practical training of students does not meet the standards.
